Keeping busy during the last part of winter...

We have been keeping busy and having fun these last few weeks of winter. Let's see....
The boys and I visited Goldie Gopher one Saturday at little science museum by our house, and they LOVE him. For those who don't know, Goldie is the Mascot for the University of Minnesota.
Freddy and his Kistler cousins built a snow fort and Pirate snow man one day. It was a real highlight for him.
Last weekend, Frederick and I went to Disney On Ice with Anna Kistler and Grandma Berg. It was an early birthday present for the two of them. Hard to believe they will be 5!!
The next pictures are of Grandma Berg's St. Patrick's Day party from today. She really goes all out for her St. Patty's parties for the Grandkids. It was a lot of fun.
This afternoon, Tom took us to the Outdoor Sports Convention downtown. It was the epitome of Minnesota, and the boys loved seeing all the fishing and hunting supplies on display. They had a place where you could fish for trout, and it made us really excited for summer. I had to post the picture of the injured Eagle that we met for Dad, too. It was amazing to see him so close up.
So that has been our last few weeks of cold weather. It is supposed to warm up to 50 degress tommorrow! Yay! I am so excited!!

Great pictures, Cath! I can't believe Frederick is almost FIVE already. How did that happen? It's funny to think that my youngest and your oldest are only three years apart. Who would have thought that twenty years ago? :)

Hang in there. Spring is sloooooowly coming. And by the way, we still hope to visit you for a couple of days, maybe around mid-May? How's your May looking?

I am anticipating spring right along with you (although you would probably define our winter as your spring :)

Love the pics Cath- I'll be sure to share with Luis who sorely misses many elements of Minnesotan life. And the St. Patty's party looks rockin. Can I be jealous?! My kids were excited because I bought a box of cookies with green sprinkles. You guys are the NEXT LEVEL when it comes to celebrating certain things!
Love ya,
Cal
