Weekend in California

Gemma and I are off to California for a little ladies weekend tommorrow. We fly into Los Angeles to visit Sr. Cora(Kathleen) and the Carmelites for the day, and then we are heading to San Francisco tommorrow evening. Jen will come get us, and the rest of the weekend will be spent with the Heil family in beautiful St. Helena! I am really looking forward to seeing Jen, Matthew and the girls, and experiencing Napa for the first time. Tom will have the boys all weekend. I will definitely miss my men, but am looking forward to a nice, sunny weekend in CA!

Our Glimpse of Spring!!!

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, and even reached 65 degrees! It felt wonderful. We ventured to the park for the first time since October. As you can see from the pictures, the playground was flooded from the snow melting so quickly. The boys had the best time splashing and playing in the ice cold water. I had to post a picture of our creek too... we are so excited to see running water! And the last picture of from the weekend... Jack found Daddy's old hockey helmet in the garage, and he hasn't taken it off since.

Keeping busy during the last part of winter...

We have been keeping busy and having fun these last few weeks of winter. Let's see....
The boys and I visited Goldie Gopher one Saturday at little science museum by our house, and they LOVE him. For those who don't know, Goldie is the Mascot for the University of Minnesota.
Freddy and his Kistler cousins built a snow fort and Pirate snow man one day. It was a real highlight for him.
Last weekend, Frederick and I went to Disney On Ice with Anna Kistler and Grandma Berg. It was an early birthday present for the two of them. Hard to believe they will be 5!!
The next pictures are of Grandma Berg's St. Patrick's Day party from today. She really goes all out for her St. Patty's parties for the Grandkids. It was a lot of fun.
This afternoon, Tom took us to the Outdoor Sports Convention downtown. It was the epitome of Minnesota, and the boys loved seeing all the fishing and hunting supplies on display. They had a place where you could fish for trout, and it made us really excited for summer. I had to post the picture of the injured Eagle that we met for Dad, too. It was amazing to see him so close up.
So that has been our last few weeks of cold weather. It is supposed to warm up to 50 degress tommorrow! Yay! I am so excited!!
