Hightlights of the week

We just got back today from a fun- filled week at the Berg's cabin. Fr. John was in town from Switzerland, and so the whole family was together. It was such a enjoyable week for everyone, but it was especially fun for me to watch my boys have the time of their lives. The cabin is a magical place for the children - the fresh air, the deep woods, the gorgeous lake, and most importantly, Grandpa's 'gator' ( a John Deere four wheeler). Fishing is also now a favorite hobby for my family too. Here are some fun photos of our wonderful week.

Love these pictures! What a blessing that your children have these great times with their family in the midst of God's beautiful creation. Frederick is looking very proficient as a fisherman! Jack is beaming and Gemma is stinkin cute as Dad likes to say!

The pics are great- I especially appreciate the one of Gemma as she's growing so fast. Freddy & Jack look like pros. It's great to get a glimpse of the Berg vacation- so wholesome in every way. Wish every family could do that!
Love you guys & miss you.

Great pictures, Catherine! What a beautiful place you have to spend a vacation as a family. The pictures of Tom and the boys fishing are awesome and Gemma naked in the sink is priceless. Love the little baby bum.

Love you all a lot!

Love, Teresa

Catherine! You're baaaack! While you were gone we've been plotting a visit to your house and to the Laura Ingalls Wilder sites next summer. See the comments on my Laura Ingalls post last week for details!

This looks like such a fun week, especially since lots (all?) of Tom's family were there. Once you have kids, it's so precious to see how much they enjoy spending time with cousins, grandparents, and other extended family. My kids LOVE the time we spend every year with both McDonnells and Schultzes. In fact, right before we left on our California trip, Brennan confessed that while he was looking forward to it, he was sad that we didn't have any cousins going with us. :)
