Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was at the Kistlers this year. The annual football game was played. The kids put on a great play. Jack refused to be a pilgrim or an indian but it still turned out great. The food was terrific. The girls got to go on a little walk after the meal. The boys enjoyed the football games on TV. Freddy and Anna had fun getting the wishbone out of the turkey.
Gemma loved playing with all the Kistler's baby dolls. The only thing that would have made the day better would have been if Uncle John was with us. We missed you Uncle John!!

Hi Catherine,

I'll leave one post for all three recent blots:

The Alexandria weekend looked dreamy. Was that really November? The weather looked beautiful. I get a chance to get out with some mom's once a month at Ruby Tuesday's, and I've come to REALLY appreciate that time with other women. I imagine a whole weekend of just you and Gemma hanging out at Carolyn's was lovely. And getting time hanging out with John must have been a fabulous extra bonus. I know how much my whole family enjoyed seeing him at Thanksgiving.

The Berg Thanksgiving traditions sound like a blast!!! Football games in the yard and Pilgrim and Indian plays - sounds awesome.

Jack is so cute at the basketball game - thanks for adding those pictures.

I read your response to my Halloween post. I know what you mean about dressing up. My boys (especially Max), enjoy dressing up almost as much as the girls do. For Chris and Ania's wedding, I ended up buying a tuxedo for 20$ on ebay, as opposed to renting one for a lot more money, and I'm so glad I did. That tux turns him into a prince or a gentleman on a regular basis. Max also has a full cowboy costume that he wears for days at a time, (which just received the necessary addition of cap guns from his birthday). He wore his wolf suit (displayed at Sandy Cove during our infamous "Where the Wild Things Are" skit, for years, and his best birthday gift two weeks ago was a full medieval knight costume, complete with full chain mail, some type of arm and leg extra armor, and sword and shield. It's a rare day that he doesn't don it at least once.

... But even if you didn't sew three costumes per child laboriously by the firelight for weeks on end leading up to Halloween - I'll still class you as "Supermom, Catherine!!" - just because I know you are!!

Love you and miss you,

Teresa
